my family certainly tricked me with a treat at this time of year ... a knock at the door on Saturday was out of the blue when who should be standing there but my daughter and her partner ... who I thought was busy up North.
But no this had been kept secret by all in the know. They didn't want to scare me my just appearing from nowhere, thereby knocking on the door. And teased me in what they may find me up to like, being with a fella, etc. As although her Dad may have gone, they are happy with whatever may or may not be in my life that is now.
