The rain is back ...

... which is good for the places one does not see ... keeping our underground springs from becoming parched ...

over the rocks and moss yesterday 

This stems from a keen interest in our environment. Also from living near a river; witnessing it drying out in 1991. That was not a nice experience. It went to the other extreme, at the turn of the millennium  ... All this helps to realise if we do not have sufficient rain, and where we cannot see it, dries out, we are in trouble ... 

Yesterday, on our walk along the lanes I could hear the water running along the drainage system; under out feet from afar, before we even approached the drain cover. A soothing noise. It reminds me of a babbling brook ...
